Steering Committee of the Grama Panchayat
The Steering Committee is a committee that provides guidance and coordination for various development activities and the planning and implementation of projects of the Grama Panchayat.
Main Responsibilities
- Planning of Development Projects – Leads the process of identifying the needs of the Panchayat and preparing development projects accordingly.
- Coordination of Various Sections – Coordinates the activities of various Standing Committees and concerned officials of the Panchayat.
- Review of Project Progress – Reviews the progress of ongoing projects and provides necessary directions and suggestions.
- Ensuring Public Participation – Helps incorporate the opinions and suggestions of the public into development projects through Grama Sabhas, development seminars, and other participatory processes.
- Setting Development Priorities – Helps prioritize projects according to the major needs and development requirements of the Panchayat.
- Guidance for Further Action – Provides guidance for resolving issues arising during project implementation and for taking necessary follow-up actions.
