GEOGRAPHY

The geographical features of Kadambur Grama Panchayat are as follows:

Location: Kadambur Grama Panchayat is situated in the Edakkad Block of Kannur Taluk, within the Kannur district.

Boundaries: It shares its northern border with Chembilode Panchayat and its southern border with the Dharmadam River (a part of the Anjarakandy River). To the east lies Peralassery Panchayat, and to the west is Muzhappilangad Panchayat.

Topography: The landscape primarily falls under the Midland category. The terrain is a blend of hilly areas, slopes, and low-lying paddy fields.

Water Resources: A segment of the Anjarakandy River flows along the boundary of the Panchayat. Additionally, numerous streams and ponds are utilized for agricultural and other purposes.

Soil: Laterite soil is predominantly found in the upland areas, while alluvial soil is seen in the low-lying regions.
